AIGI 26SC Silicone-Core General-Service Packing
AIGI 26SC is a graphite-coated PTFE pump packing built around a single resilient silicone-rubber core. The elastic core gives the braid better memory, letting it follow radial shaft motion and vibration while keeping leakage under control. It is an excellent general-service packing for pumps, mixers and agitators where runout is a problem.

- Built-in spring action: A wobbling shaft normally means constant gland tightening and short packing life. The silicone core in AIGI 26SC acts as a built-in spring, pressing the low-friction PTFE braid back against the shaft after each deflection.

Where It's Used
- All-round pump packing: AIGI 26SC works as an all-round general-service pump packing.
- Runout-prone equipment: It is especially effective in pumps, mixers and agitators where radial runout is an issue.
- Agitator and mixer shafts: With their long spans and side loads, agitator and mixer shafts are the textbook application.
Good to Know
- Middle of the family: The single-core design is the middle step of a family: plain AIGI 26 for stable shafts, 26SC for noticeable runout, and multi-core AIGI 26MSC for extreme motion.
- White option available: The packing is black due to its graphite content; a white PTFE-only line (AIGI 26W and its cored versions) exists where colour matters.
- High heat, wide pH: It withstands high service temperatures and covers a wide pH range.
- Silicone core limits: The silicone core keeps it a step short of the strongest acids and alkalis that the core-less braid can handle.
