AIGI SSSP Super Slurry Sealing Packing
AIGI SSSP (Super Slurry Sealing Packing) is braided from a blend of high-carbon-content carbon fibres and PTFE yarn, then finish-lubricated with high-quality graphite. It marries the heat resistance and self-lubrication of carbon with the flexibility, chemical resistance and conformability of PTFE, making it a purpose-built seal for abrasive slurry service.
Product Benefits
- Beats abrasion and heat: Slurries punish packings from two directions at once: abrasive particles grind the braid away while friction heat cooks it. SSSP answers both.
- Carbon carries the heat: The carbon fibre carries the heat and lubricates itself.
- PTFE keeps it sealing: The PTFE keeps the braid flexible and chemically inert, so it conforms to the stuffing box and holds its seal as the equipment wears.

- Two-fibre construction: The braid is black and grey, reflecting its two-fibre construction, and comes pre-lubricated with graphite so it beds in smoothly.

- Handles slurry-pump speeds: It copes with the elevated shaft speeds of hard-working slurry pumps.
- A modest flush helps: As with any packing in abrasive service, a modest controlled flush greatly extends life by keeping solids out of the sealing interface; SSSP's conformability then does the rest.
