SuperChem 863 Penetration Fluid

SuperChem 863 is a fast-acting penetration fluid that frees frozen and rusted bolts, nuts and fittings. It creeps rapidly into corroded threads to break their grip, cleans away rust as it works, and does so without acids or other corrosive chemicals that could harm the equipment.

Product Benefits

  • Ends the fight: A seized fastener turns a routine job into a fight involving heat, impact tools, and too often a sheared stud.
  • Fast, thin, creeping: 863's extremely thin, fast-creeping formulation reaches the corroded interface quickly, so joints release with ordinary tools rather than force.
  • No corrosive chemistry: Free of acids and other corrosive chemicals, it loosens rust while protecting the parts around it.
  • Safe for reuse: It is safe to use on assemblies you intend to put straight back into service.

Where It's Used

  • Frozen fasteners: Its everyday work is freeing frozen and rusted bolts, nuts and threaded fittings.
  • General rust cleaning: It also handles general rust cleaning during maintenance.
  • Turnarounds and overhauls: That makes it a standard companion for turnarounds, equipment overhauls and any workshop dealing with weathered or long-installed hardware.

Good to Know

  • Very low viscosity: 863 is a blue fluid of very low viscosity, essentially designed to wick into spaces nothing thicker could reach.
  • Works in the cold: It stays fluid even in severely cold conditions, so it works outdoors in any season.
  • Displaces moisture: It helps displace moisture and leaves a light film that gives freed parts short-term protection against re-rusting.
  • Let it creep: Give it a few moments to creep after application; letting the fluid work usually saves more time than reaching for a longer wrench.
  • Not a service lubricant: It is a release and cleaning aid, so follow up with a proper lubricant or anti-seize before reassembly.
