SuperChem SQ1 Epoxy Coating
SuperChem SQ1 is a solvent-free, low-viscosity epoxy that cures fully solid into a thin protective film and can be sprayed at room temperature. It is the SuperChem family's economical answer for protecting large areas of plant against erosion, corrosion and chemical attack.

Where It's Used
- Tanks, pumps and valves: Typical duties include chemical and petroleum storage tanks, pumps and valves, and water tanks and troughs.
- Impellers, pipes, steelwork: It also protects impellers and pump casings, pipes and fittings, and structural steel such as columns and supports.
- Go-to broad protection: Anywhere a plant needs broad, even protection over steel or other rigid substrates, SQ1 is the go-to film.
Good to Know
- Flexible application methods: SQ1 is a two-component system mixed at a set ratio and applied by scraping, brushing, rolling or spraying; it is supplied in black or gray.
- Even on vertical faces: Its anti-sagging behaviour lets the thin film build evenly, even on vertical faces.
- Dry, warm service: It is rated for dry service at moderately warm temperatures.
- Family teamwork: Where surfaces are deeply pitted or need a heavier build, prefill with the ceramic-reinforced GQM or step up to BSQ1 from the same family.
