Fabri-Valve 33 PTA Heavy-Duty Slurry Valve
The Fabri-Valve 33 PTA is a heavy-duty push-through slurry valve in which matched elastomer sleeves, not metal, form the pressure boundary. With no metal in the open flow path, a full-port bore, and a packingless, self-flushing design, it is engineered to survive the harshest abrasive and corrosive slurries in mining and heavy industry.
Product Benefits
- No metal-to-slurry contact: Conventional slurry valves wear where metal meets slurry. The 33 PTA removes that contact entirely, sealing by axially compressing engineered elastomer sleeves against each other and against the gate when closed.
- Self-flushing mid-stroke: The mid-stroke flushing action discharges solids away from the sealing surfaces, so grit cannot pack in and destroy the seal.
- Packingless and dry: The design needs no packing and no lubrication, eliminating the two most common maintenance chores on gated slurry valves.
- Sleeves swapped in place: Sleeves are replaceable without disassembling the valve.
- Factory tested: Every unit is tested for bi-directional bubble-tight shutoff with zero downstream leakage.

- Wet or dry abrasives: The 33 PTA handles abrasive and corrosive slurries, wet or dry, including media with large particles.
- Broad industry coverage: It serves mining, power, pulp and paper, alumina, chemical, and cement, sand, and aggregate operations, anywhere sleeves outlast hard trim.
- Very wide size range: Available across a very wide size range, it covers both tailings-scale mains and smaller process branches.
- Actuation to suit: Handwheel, bevel gear, air cylinder, hydraulic cylinder, and electric actuation are all available.

- Ductile iron housing: The housing is cast ductile iron with a stainless steel gate.
- Reinforced sleeves: The sleeves are molded with a fully encapsulated stiffener ring so they hold their shape under load.
- Sleeve material choice: Natural rubber sleeves are standard, with EPDM, NBR, HNBR, Chlorobutyl, and Neoprene alternates to match chemistry and temperature.
- Plan for drainage: Being a push-through design, a small amount of media discharges at mid-stroke as part of the self-flushing action, so plan drainage accordingly.
- Size and pressure together: Allowable working pressure steps down as sizes get larger, so confirm your line size and pressure together when selecting.
