Fabri-Valve C132 Transmitter Isolation Valve
The Fabri-Valve C132 is a compact stainless steel knife gate valve designed for one specific job: isolating an instrument transmitter from a tank. With the C132 in place, a transmitter can be replaced or serviced without shutting down the process or draining the vessel.
Product Benefits
- No draining required: Servicing a tank-mounted transmitter normally means draining the vessel or interrupting production, costly downtime for a routine instrument task.
- Service while running: The C132 removes that trade-off. Close the valve, work on the transmitter, and reopen, all while the process keeps running.
- Blind boltup on the tank: A special tank-side flange permits blind boltup from the tank exterior, which simplifies installation on an existing vessel.
- Standard instrument side: The transmitter side uses standard flange drilling, so common instruments bolt straight on.
- Fully tested: Every valve is shell, seat, and cycle tested before shipment.
Where It's Used
- Tank-mounted instruments: The C132 is used wherever level, pressure, or density transmitters are mounted directly on tanks and vessels that cannot be conveniently emptied. That is typical in pulp and paper stock tanks, chemical storage, and general process plants.
- Fibrous or viscous media: It is particularly valuable on vessels holding fibrous or viscous media, where the knife gate's shearing action keeps the instrument nozzle clear.
- Built for tight spaces: A ratchet operator is standard for the confined space around tank walls, with a lever operator available as an option.
Good to Know
- Cast stainless body: The body is cast stainless steel, with higher alloys available for aggressive chemistry, and the gate is finished smooth in the same grade as the body.
- Two yoke configurations: The C132R has a ductile iron yoke for general duty, while the C132S uses an all-stainless yoke and bolting for corrosive environments.
- Metal seat as standard: The integrally cast metal seat provides serviceable shutoff for instrument isolation.
- Zero-leakage upgrade: An optional resilient ring upgrades the valve to zero-leakage sealing. Choose based on how completely the nozzle must be sealed during transmitter work.
