Pure-Flo Grade E1 Diaphragm
The Pure-Flo Grade E1 diaphragm is a peroxide-cured EPDM sealing element developed for intense biopharmaceutical service. It outperforms earlier EPDM and EPM diaphragm generations with improved resistance to steam, WFI and common CIP chemicals.

- Full Pure-Flo size range: Grade E1 fits Pure-Flo hygienic diaphragm valves across essentially the full size range, from the smallest fractional bodies to large line sizes.
- Clean water systems: Typical homes are biopharmaceutical plants, including WFI and purified-water distribution and clean utilities.
- Regular sterilization cycles: It suits any valve that sees regular steam-in-place and CIP cycles.
Good to Know
- Compliance pedigree: The compound carries USP Class VI and meets FDA requirements for rubber articles.
- ASME BPE conformance: It conforms to ASME BPE guidance including animal-derived-ingredient provisions, and TSE/BSE documentation is available.
- No natural rubber latex: The compound is not made with natural rubber latex, which further eases validation paperwork.
- Plan the replacement: Like all elastomer diaphragms it is a consumable with a limited shelf life, so stock should be rotated and replacement planned into the maintenance schedule rather than run to failure.
