Pure-Flo Specialty Zero Static Use Points

Pure-Flo Specialty Zero Static Use Points are point-of-use diaphragm valve configurations engineered to eliminate dead-legs at sampling, drain and branch connections. Covering Zero Static Tees, U-Bends and integrated block bodies, they let high-purity fluids be transferred, sampled, drained or diverted while meeting the ASME BPE expectations that govern WFI and purified-water loops.

  • Every branch is a risk: Use points are among the most critical valves in a biopharmaceutical water system, because every branch off the loop is a potential dead-leg where water can stagnate.
  • Weir at the run: The zero-static geometry places the diaphragm weir essentially at the run of the pipe, keeping branch hold-up minimal and satisfying the tight length-to-diameter expectations of ASME BPE practice.
  • Fewer welds and fittings: Machining several functions into one block body cuts the number of welds, fittings and inspection points compared with fabricating the same use point from discrete valves.
  • Smaller, simpler install: That means a smaller installed envelope, less installation labor and fewer places for cleaning validation to worry about.

Where It's Used

  • WFI and purified water: The natural habitat is biopharmaceutical WFI and purified-water distribution: point-of-use drops, piping branches, sampling stations and low-point drains around the loop.
  • Awkward geometries: Specific configurations address vertical runs, low-point feed and return lines with drain capability, and low-clearance positions beneath WFI and process vessels.
  • Sampling and purging: Other members of the family sample loop water before the main valve is opened, purge and steam-sterilize downstream piping, or handle combined sample-and-purge duty.
  • Longer service intervals: Dual-inline versions target loops where maximizing service intervals is the priority.

  • A broad family: The range covers Zero Static Tees, U-Bends, back-to-back sample blocks, downstream purge configurations, combined upstream-sample and downstream-purge units, vertical-run bodies, inverted-with-drain versions, back-outlet blocks and dual-inline designs.
  • Match config to duty: Choosing among them is mostly a matter of matching the configuration to the geometry and duties of the specific use point.
  • 316L and higher alloys: Standard material is 316L stainless steel, with higher alloys such as AL6XN and Hastelloy grades available.
  • Hygienic connections: Connections include OD tubing, DIN/ISO and Tri-Clover Tri-Clamp ends.
  • Common topworks: All configurations accept standard Pure-Flo manual bonnets and actuators, so topworks, diaphragms and spares stay common across the installed base.
