Pure-Flo Zero Static Back-to-Back Sample

The Pure-Flo Zero Static Back-to-Back Sample (ZSBBS) takes a standard zero-static tee and adds an integral sample valve on the back of the assembly, accessing a port upstream of the weir. Operators can draw and verify a sample of loop water before ever opening the main valve.

Product Benefits

  • No bolt-on liabilities: Welding a separate sample valve onto the exterior of a zero-static valve adds contact surfaces, hold-up volume and potential dead legs.
  • Integrally machined: Machining the sample valve into the assembly removes those liabilities and helps the installation meet the demanding length-to-diameter expectations of the ASME BPE standard.
  • Sample before opening: Sampling upstream of the weir means water quality can be confirmed at the point of use before the main valve opens.
  • Supports QA: That is a direct benefit for quality assurance in critical water systems.

Where It's Used

  • WFI and purified water: The natural home is the point of use on WFI and purified-water distribution loops in biopharmaceutical plants.
  • Routine QC sampling: It fits wherever routine QC sampling accompanies water draw-off.
  • Critical clean outlets: It suits any critical clean-water outlet where sampling and dead-leg control both matter.

Good to Know

  • Integral sample valve: The sample valve is a small Bio-Tek or Pure-Flo valve built into the assembly.
  • Drainable sample outlet: The sample outlet uses a reducing ferrule specifically to maximize drainability of the small-diameter port.
  • 316L and alternates: Bodies are 316L stainless steel, with alternates including AL6XN and Hastelloy grades on request.
  • Hygienic connections: Tube-weld ends in common gauges plus DIN/ISO and Tri-Clover Tri-Clamp connections are available, and main-valve and run sizes span a broad matching range.
