ITT Goulds Pumps

HT 3196 i-FRAME High-Temperature Process Pumps

The Goulds HT 3196 i-FRAME is a centerline-mounted, severe-duty ANSI process pump purpose-built for very hot process fluids. Every high-temperature detail (mounting, gaskets, bolting, flanges and bearing cooling) comes as standard rather than as a list of options to remember.

Product Benefits

  • Built for thermal movement: Heat makes pumps move: casings grow, alignment drifts and pipe strain builds.
  • Centerline mounting: The centerline-mounted casing expands bi-directionally about the shaft axis, so alignment holds and pipe loads stay manageable even through thermal cycling.
  • Complete hot-service package: Raised-face flanges, a graphite casing gasket and impeller O-ring, high-temperature bolting, a stainless steel shaft and a finned tube oil cooler for the bearings all come as standard.
  • No piecemeal upgrades: That removes the risk of a standard pump being quietly upgraded piecemeal for a hot service and missing something.

Where It's Used

  • Hot circulating loops: Typical duties are hot water, thermal oils and heat-transfer fluids.
  • Dryers and process heating: These are the circulating loops that keep dryers, presses and process heating running in pulp and paper plants and other industries.
  • When temperature climbs: It is the family member to specify whenever the process temperature moves beyond what a standard-mounted ANSI pump should carry.

Good to Know

  • Full 3196 interchangeability: The HT 3196 is completely interchangeable with the standard 3196 i-FRAME (all internal parts are common except the casing), so adopting it adds almost nothing to the spares shelf.
  • Standards compliance: It meets ANSI B73.1M as well as the PIP high-temperature design practice.
  • Material options: Choices include carbon steel, ductile iron, 316SS, CD4MCu, Alloy 20 and Hastelloy C.
  • Seal chamber versions: Seal chambers come in Standard Bore, BigBore and TaperBore PLUS versions, with jacketed seal chambers available where the seal environment itself needs temperature control.
