ITT Goulds Pumps

ICP High Pressure / High Temperature Chemical Process Pump

The Goulds ICP is a heavy-duty ISO chemical process pump made for the hot and high-pressure end of the process spectrum. Its centerline-mounted casing is the key feature: it keeps the pump aligned as temperatures swing, which is exactly what hot-service reliability depends on.

Product Benefits

  • Centerline mounting: The casing grows thermally about its own centerline instead of pushing the pump out of alignment, protecting bearings and seals on hot services.
  • Heavy-duty casing: The casing meets the ISO 5199 nozzle-loading criterion and carries a generous corrosion allowance, so it stands up to demanding piping loads and aggressive liquids.
  • Extended seal life: The patented Cyclone seal chamber and enclosed impeller work together to extend seal life, historically the weak point in hot process pumping.
  • Back pull-out design: The wet end can be serviced without breaking pipework.

Where It's Used

  • Hot liquid duties: Typical duties are hot water, heat-transfer fluids, and condensate.
  • Process and heating circuits: It also serves chemical and petrochemical process services and district-heating-style hot-water circuits.
  • Pulp and paper services: Within Fluindo's range it serves the pulp and paper industry, where hot condensate and heat-transfer duties are everyday requirements.

Good to Know

  • ISO compliance: Hydraulics comply with ISO 2858 and the mechanical design follows ISO 5199.
  • Interchangeable with IC: The pump is modularly interchangeable with the standard IC, convenient for plants already running the family, and accepts standard DIN mechanical or cartridge seals.
  • Material options: Options include carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, and Hastelloy C, letting the wetted parts match both temperature and chemistry.
  • Economical sibling: For milder, cooler duties, the foot-mounted IC is usually the more economical choice.
