2-Piece Threaded Ball Valve

The SLV 2-Piece Threaded Ball Valve is a compact, economical quarter-turn valve with threaded ends, offered in full or reduced bore. It gives quick, positive on/off isolation on small-bore piping carrying water, air, oil and gas.

Product Benefits

  • Positive quarter-turn isolation: For everyday isolation on threaded lines, a quarter turn of the handle gives a clear open or shut position.
  • Compact and economical: The compact body fits where space and budget are tight.
  • Stainless steel trim: Stainless trim gives the valve the corrosion resistance to handle far more than plain water duty.
  • Tested to standard: The valve is designed and tested to a recognised ball-valve standard, and its top-mounted stem construction supports dependable sealing over a long service life.
  • Two temperature builds: Seat and seal variants cover both normal-temperature and higher-temperature service, so one product family spans a wide range of line conditions.

Where It's Used

  • Wide media range: The valve is intended for air, water, gas, petroleum products and even corrosive gases, which makes it a versatile stock item across utility and process piping.
  • Instrument and sampling lines: Typical duties include instrument and sampling lines as well as compressed-air drops.
  • Fuel and lube circuits: Fuel and lube circuits and general small-bore isolation around pumps and equipment are equally common.
  • Multiple thread standards: Several thread standards are available, so the valve can match the piping conventions used in different regions and industries without adapters.

Good to Know

  • PTFE and FKM seals: Seals come in PTFE and FKM variants.
  • Follow the line temperature: Selection between the normal-temperature and high-temperature builds should follow your actual line temperature, since each variant has its own service window.
  • State the thread standard: When ordering, always state the thread standard in use at site to guarantee a leak-tight fit.
  • Two-piece trade-off: Two-piece bodies are more compact and economical than three-piece designs but are not intended for in-line seat replacement.
  • Frequently serviced positions: For positions that need regular servicing, consider a three-piece valve instead.
