Pneumatic Flanged 3-Way Ball Valve

The SLV Pneumatic Flanged 3-Way Ball Valve combines the flanged three-way valve body with a standard rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator. Plant air rotates the L- or T-ported ball to divert or mix streams automatically, without an operator at the valve.

Product Benefits

  • Changeovers automated: It takes over the duties a manual three-way valve handles, but faster, repeatably and from the control system.
  • Built for cycling: Pneumatic actuation strokes quickly and shrugs off frequent cycling, which suits batch sequences that switch destinations many times per shift.
  • Fail-safe configuration: Double-acting and spring-return actuators are both available, so the valve can be set to move to a defined safe path if air supply is lost.
  • Standard accessory fit: NAMUR-standard air connections and international mounting dimensions let common solenoids and switch boxes bolt on directly.

Where It's Used

  • Automated tank changeovers: Typical duties include switching tanks and routing product between process trains.
  • Sequenced blending: It also blends two streams under sequence control.
  • Cleaning and maintenance: The valve diverts flow around equipment during cleaning or maintenance cycles.
  • General industrial liquids: It serves liquids compatible with its stainless or carbon-steel trim.
  • Four-way variant: A 4-way variant of the series exists for routing schemes that need a fourth connection.

Good to Know

  • Settle the routing logic: As with the manual version, the L-port or T-port decision defines the possible flow paths, so fix it before ordering.
  • Multi-position travel: Travel options beyond a simple quarter turn are available for more elaborate switching arrangements.
  • European design standards: The body follows European valve design standards with DIN/EN-pattern flanges.
  • Seat materials: Seats come in several PTFE-family materials to match the service.
  • Specify the fail position: State the desired failure position early, because it determines whether a double-acting or spring-return actuator is fitted.
